and then - the ampersand

I have always loved the ampersand - not least the wonderful sound of the word. It's a lively shape, and a gateway to the future. If you have access to the word AND then a story can never end.

This is my first ever linocut.
I am rather fond of the ampersand's handbag.

    I too am a huge fan of the ampersand - I love the confident flourish it takes to write it, but I shall always think it's gone out without it's handbag from now on.
