haiku. spring mosaic. fritillary
mosaic of spring -
each tiny piece put in place
creates the season
I know it could still snow, and there will be frosts and bad weather, but the fritillary reassures me that the spring is here. All is in place, and all will be well.
Fritillaries - Mother Nature's experiment in tie-dying. So delicate and fragile looking aren't they - if I had any in my garden, I think I'd want to stand guard over them.
They do look fragile, but are actually remarkably robust. Originally a meadow flower. There is also one white one in my little planting, but it is a bit behind its more colourful friends.

ReplyDeleteMy 2nd pot are out quite a different shape to the first group.I think if only we could hear them they chime in the wind.

They definitely look like bells. Perhaps I will try and find a composer to commission a fritillary symphony from! Wouldn't that be lovely.
